Together with GIG, the Berlin-based energy and infrastructure specialist for industrial and chemical parks, LIVOS Energies brings solar power, wind power and battery storage directly to industrial sites. Since 1998, GIG has operated site grids for power, steam, heat, cooling and gases, with around 500 engineers and technicians.

LIVOS Energies contributes capital and asset management, Solos GmbH construction and operations. The joint project company finances, builds and operates the assets and markets their flexibility. The site operator invests nothing and pays only for the benefit delivered.

Three levers

• low-cost power from the site itself through a fixed-price supply contract
• multi-use storage: shaving peaks, buffering load steps, shifting solar power, earning market revenue
• lower grid charges through fewer load peaks
